My first time really writing in the Avengers fandom was a total bust. It was a Darcy/Clint gift fic for the goingonfacebook fic exchange and I pretty much feel like I need to appologize to my recipient for it's craptasticness. I'd offer to write something else but I think that while I've come to really enjoy reading the pairing, as off the wall and out of nowhere as it is, I can't write it very well. I can't really write Darcy well at all since I'm constantly worried about overwriting her or relying too much on fanon. I love the Clint from the current Hawkeye book but I honestly can't imagine that dude with anyone romantically. Sexually? Yes. Romantically? NSM.

MCU Clint is even harder because you basically have six lines to use for him given that the rest of the time he's brainwashed.

I might try and write some Black Widow/Winter Solder stuff today/tonight. I feel like I have a better handle on those characters in 616!verse than in MCU which will narrow down who they'd appeal to but at least there's a crap ton of built in angst to both mine and dance around. I think I'm better at that.
